Innovation, create, LEAP! CAPreneurs are entrepreneurs from the Capricorn Coast region who are actively pursuing a high growth potential business idea, or who are looking to take their existing business to the next level – global!
The purpose of the incubator hub is to support and empower the local startup community to gain traction nationally and internationally, and build their companies with support from, but not reliance on, government initiatives going forward.
Livingstone Shire Council is committed to supporting the growth of the CAPrenuers to continue to grow the local innovation ecosystem as it gains traction. The ultimate aim is to support a critical mass of startup leaders playing a long term game to become commercially successful in international markets.
Introducing our Innovation Mentor
Kris Trevilyan is a serial angel investor and mentor of startups. She has joined the Livingstone Shire Council for two days a week for until August 2019 to be an Innovation Mentor and to investigate the appetite for locals investing in our local talent.
Kris is currently the CEO of Multi Farming Systems, the family’s farm and farm machinery manufacturing company, Board Chair of high growth Startup Like a Photon Creative, and an active member of the Brisbane Angels investor group. She brings with her a wealth of corporate and small to medium business experience across a number of different industries including Agriculture, alternative health therapies, local government, multinational energy corporate and others. She is a self-confessed jack-of-all-trades, and comes to us with an open mind and eagerness to work with like-minded, energetic self-starters.
During her time with our CAPreneurs, Kris will be co-facilitating a 12-week Startup Onramp programme with Sonia Barber (LSC) and provide mentorship and support for those on the programme and in the wider business community. She will be hosting events to enable local businesses to learn new skills and to grow the Startup ecosystem. Contact Kris at hello@CAPreneurs.com.au

Please keep in mind that places are limited and the objective of the Innovation Mentor one on one coaching sessions is to assist local talent grow their businesses on a global scale. Examples of discussions could include brainstorming business model ideas, methods of testing market validation, how to pitch the innovation to different audiences.
